SESI has a test exhibiting a large performance regression on startup. Their preliminary investigations indicate that this is related to checkpoint pick-up. They're looking for a breakdown of where WT spends its checkpoint pickup time, and how much that changes with/without table drops. (The extent to which table drops are involved will help guide further investigation – this is effectively a triage ticket.)
