The objective of this ticket is to evaluate the feasibility of using wtperf and workgen for performance testing in disaggregated storage and local WiredTiger cache-stuck simulations.

Scope

• Framework Assessment: Enable and test wtperf/workgen compatibility with disaggregated storage.
• Local Simulation: Use these frameworks to reproduce cache-stuck behaviors in a local environment.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Server Team (suganthi.mani@mongodb.com) to identify and adapt existing MongoDB tests for WiredTiger cache-stuck scenarios.
