      We should create a subagent in a .agents directory that builds wiredtiger. This has a few benefits:

      1. Build tasks performed by an agent don't pollute the context window
      2. Tasks can be assigned to low-cost models
      3. Extra guidance/context can be provided

      This subagent should be very general, applying to everyone's default use-case. Ideally, a local AGENTS.md file could be used to direct the subagent in particular ways to suit individual engineers' workflows.
