test/format forces debug.disagg_slow_truncate_follower on whenever disagg.mode is switch, so switch mode stress has never exercised fast truncate. Leader and follower modes do exercise it, which means the role transition case - the one most likely to break - is the one with no coverage.
Once write conflict detection is complete, stop forcing the slow path in switch mode and burn the configuration in.
This is the step before WT-17564, which removes the slow truncate path and its knob entirely.
