schema_abort failed on slow machine

      We had a failure of test_schema_abort in this job http://build.wiredtiger.com:8080/job/wiredtiger-linux-directio/5850/console.

      It ran on tinderbox and threads are stuck waiting for IO to complete.

      Changes were made to timestamp_abort that got rid of the STABLE_PERIOD and simplified the timestamp handling in WT-4214. Similar changes to schema_abort should be made.
