.There is a project-level batch time setting in Evergreen that defines the default time to wait before scheduling a task in new commits. It could help with resource-saving by only scheduling tasks on the latest commit if multiple commits come in very close to each others.
Right now in "wiredtiger" project, 180-min (3 hrs) batch time is configured. In reality, most of the pull request and correctness tasks finish running within 60 mins. There's potential tuning opportunity for the batch time setting in order to achieve better testing efficiency.
As a reference, all mongodb projects currently have a 60-min project-level batch time setting.
