As the garbage collection of history store cleanup is done as part of the checkpoint, there is no way to keep track of an exact number of records that are present in the history store table. Also, the lookaside file is getting replaced with the history store file, there are many stats to represent lookaside. These stats need to be updated according to the durable history design.
