      The WT_SESSION.truncate page doesn't document (or reference) truncate's semantics when called with a "log:" URI, that is:

      WT_SESSION.truncate(session, "log:", backup_cursor, NULL, NULL));

      It's not mentioned in the "Log archival" page either.

      The "Backups" page does explain it.
