When doing WT-5911, a review comment asked why the verification of the history store needed to use an internal session. It was failing early on for me. When I tried it at the end of the work, I found that it fails with what appears to be memory corruption.

For now I have left the use of the internal session around that verification. But we should investigate the problem. I will put details in this ticket.
