      Part of this ticket should be to re-enable Python tests that are currently skipped in OS/X: test_compact01.py and test_compact02.py. See the FIXME in those python files. Those were disabled by WT-7574 . If for some reason this issue cannot or won't be fixed, those FIXME comments should be updated.
