The initial work on performance migration uses Evergreen ubuntu2004-test instances.
Now that we have agreed (in the Tech Design) to use rhel70-perf-M60-like instances, we need to switch to using them.
After it became apparent that rhel70-perf-M60-like instances are not equivalent to Atlas M60 instances, we have revisited the question of which instances to target. Once we have agreed the target instances, we will switch.
As of 12th Nov, hardware equivalent to an Altas M50 is the likely target. The operating system would ideally be Ubuntu 20.04 as most WiredTIger tests run on this. We need to investigate if such an instance is available.
Definition of done:
- Agree target test instances
- Get agreed target instances made available on Evergreen if they don't already exist.
- All currently existing Evergreen performance tests are running successfully on agreed target, and reporting their results.
