      Summary
      Split out from WT-9081.
WT-9081 re-enables old Ubuntu PPC tests temporarily until RHEL8 platforms are fully functions, as well as investigating an increase in test coverage on PPC.

The issue with increasing PPC coverage on the old hosts is that old Ubuntu PPC buildvariants don't support the use of ASAN which is needed for further stress testing. This is not an issue on the new RHEL8 hosts.

Once WT-8981 is resolved and RHEL8 hosts are reliable this ticket can be used to investigate adding further stress tests to the PPC buildvariant.

      Motivation

      • Does this affect any team outside of WT? No
      • How likely is it that this use case or problem will occur? N/A
      • Is this issue urgent? No, this is extending existing coverage.

      Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done)
Determine whether adding stress tests to the RHEL8 PPC platform is beneficial, and if so they are present in evergreen.yml.

      Suggested Solution
The existing ARM buildvariant ubuntu2004-stress-tests-arm64 is a good candidate for porting to PPC.
