Problem Statement/Rationale
What is going wrong? What action would you like the Engineering team to take?
Compass is updated without letting user know.
There should be a confirmation to go ahead with the Auto Update.
Steps to Reproduce
How could an engineer replicate the issue you’re reporting?
Install 1.23.0 from downloads.mongodb.com
Disable all options under Help>Privacy Settings except "Enable Automatic Updates"
Wait a minute and choose "Not Now" when asked to auto update.
Exit out of Compass.
Restart Compass. 1.28.4 is now installed, the currently latest version.
Expected Results
What do you expect to happen?
No updating of Compass, especially after Declining the previous banner since choosing "Not Now".
Actual Results
What do you observe is happening?
Install 1.23.0 from Download Center and run
Disable all checkmarks in Help>Privacy Settings except Enable Automatic Updates
Decline auto update with clicking "Not Now" in banner
Close Compass
Restart Compass
Compass is now 1.28.4 without any notification to the user.
