      Pre-modules versions of Go can enforce import path checking based on the "import comment" (e.g. in uuid.go). However, import path checking is disabled if modules are enabled, so these comments are vestigial because we require Go 1.18+ for Go Driver v2.0.

      Definition of done:

      • Remove all vestigial "import comments" from the Go Driver

      Note: The scope of this ticket is limited to all Go driver code except the BSON library. See GODRIVER-2977 for the ticket for removing import comments from the BSON library.
