      It might be worth mentioning that the mongocryptd version that we ship with our Debian/Ubuntu packages does not work on Ubuntu 16.04 or equivalent, and that users of older distributions may need to install mongocryptd separately if they want to use it.

      Make sure that the mongocryptd from the .deb/.rpm/.tgz/.zip is actually used and running.
