This ticket is intended to cover the similar generifying process as described in ~~SERVER-114078~~. Note that the ticket will likely need to be completed after SERVER-117081 so that SorterFileStats can be avoided in the "shim" made for testing the concept (as currently, the ctor for a bounded sorter is hardcoded to use one).
