This suite currently can't run FLE tests because the connection created by the runCommand override in set_secondary_read_preference.js doesn't inherit the auth settings from the original connection. Please note that the secondary_reads_passthrough suite, which this suite is based on, currently doesn't run any tests in jstests/fle2 or src/mongo/db/modules/*/jstests/fle2/ but it looks like those tests can be run in this suite after we fix the auth settings issue.
