mongodump failed with error "Failed: error reading collection: invalid cursor"

I see how to extend the cursor timeout as per the article - https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/SERVER-8188 

But the commands are for mongo version 3.0.2 and above. please provide the command or steps to extend the cursor timeout limit for version 3.0.1
