Today, we only autocomplete shell methods and helpers, and database and collection names. VS Code does not recognize .mongodb files as JS files, and therefore does not provide all the helpful intelligence and tooling it usually provides out of the box for common languages like JS. This is often confusing for developers: “If I am writing JavaScript, why don’t the usual JavaScript tools I have in VS Code help me?”.

Find a way on how to support both JS language features and MongoDB completion and syntax highlighting in the MongoDB playground.
