I found from a slack conversation that MongoDB doesn't create cursors using the prefix layered:. As followed from here:
Chenhao Depends on how the layered table is created. If you create using table:test_layerered31b with a config block_manager=disagg,type=layered , you will see a table entry in metadata. Otherwise, there is none.
We should add another scenario to test the creation of tables using this way instead on our hook_disagg.py
