      WiredTiger relies on delta generation to reduce the volume of write traffic in DSC.

      Delta generation is not currently supported for pages that are in-memory, but a previous reconciliation caused a split. In such cases a full re-reconciliation and write back of all split pages will happen each time it is reconciled. It is a significant amount of engineering work to generate deltas against the previous split pages.

      The goal of this ticket is to mitigate the overhead when this is happening by forcing pages that have been split during reconciliation to be evicted. Once they have been evicted, future reconciliations will automatically generate page deltas.
