It would be useful to be able to test prepared transactions and timestamp functionality via the workgen tool. We would need to investigate how to expose and control timestamp usage. The goal would be to cover situations similar to how MongoDB uses timestamps. We could update workgen to take a configuration whether it should test prepared transactions or not.
This will be needed for stress testing.
