WT-8654 uses a script to download the AWS SDK and build the S3-hello-world extension. Ideally, we will have AWS SDK provided on the evergreen platform images, for WiredTiger and for MongoDB.

This ticket will track the work needed to:

1. What portions of the SDK are the needed dependencies
2. What evergreen OS images need the SDK to be installed
3. Will MongoDB also need the SDK to build WiredTiger / extension
4. What will be the location of the SDK
5. Given the SDK provided through the platform images on evergreen, any changes that are required to build and test the S3-hello-world extension.

It is possible that the work from this ticket will be divided into multiple tickets. We will know more when we start the cross-team interaction.
