Investigate regression in our cpp test (cppsuite-hs-cleanup-stress on Cppsuite Stress Tests)

      Summary
      The cpp tests indicate a regression since February 14th.

      The regression can be seen here by selecting the cc_pages_removed stat. It seems that we are removing way fewer pages than we used to, see the screenshot attached.

      There is also a regression on the same date related to the stat_db_size which appears to be bigger now. See attached screenshot.

      Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done)

      • Find out which commit is responsible for the regressions.
      • Investigate if the regressions are expected and take action if not.
      • Otherwise remove the FIX-ME from the code.
