      Summary
      This ticket comes after WT-9311. It would be great to indicate when an extension returns a failure due to a checksum error due to an HW failure. See this comment that is the origin of this ticket.

      Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done)
      Each extension should be investigated and specifically the compression and encryption ones. Find out where it is likely to get an HW corruption and ensure it is correctly indicated in the logs in case of a failure.
